Half Life | Bioshock | Quake/DOOM | Deus Ex | Thief series ? [Poll Added*]

bioshock for me. noting beats swimming to the lighthouse in the first game. Half life is good but , leaving people hanging for many years for a new episode just really turns me off on the whole game / companyultraking

Completely agree. Why does valve do all these sideprojects (steam on mac, steam on linux, steambox, ...); other games and hats for TF2 when most people just want another Half-Life ? 

I thought waiting 6 years for HL2 was long but at least we got one great and one not so great expansion pack to bridge the gap. Now it's been more than 8 years since HL2 and all we got were two short episodes and a reference in Portal 2.

The wait is just too long. I hope Valve will make Half Life 3 with a closed ending and just end the series already. And this is coming from a huge HL fan.

Portal had a pretty closed ending and they still were able to make a sequel from it. Same with portal 2: closed ending. So we know valve is capable of doing so.

In the case of Portal they were able to make a brilliant sequel in 4 years. I don't know why a sequel to HL2 has taken over twice as long and we still have seen nothing of it.

Half-Life.

Half-Life without a shadow of a doubt.

I#m not sure I could choose between them, fortunately in gaming I don't have too.

Half Life, easily. Bioshock isnt even in the same league as Half Life, System Shock was though...

Half-life for sure. I thought Bioshock was quite overrated (still good though). You just can't beat the ending of Episode 2, even if Valve needs to get off their high horse and finish the trilogy already.

Half Life! It's not even a competition. Bioshock is meh.

Half-Life.  Never been impressed with the Bioshock series, and it's only gone downhill since the first game.

Half-Life  has been consistently great.  Just give me HL3 or Ep3 already!!

Crysis 3

Two great series, but Bioshock only have, well, Bioshock. While Half Life has 3 and 1/4 games.

I'd say Half Life 2 > Bioshock > Episode 2 > Half Life > Episode 1.

It was hard to choose between Bioshock and Deus Ex for me.  I went with Deus Ex.

Doom/Quake ofc.

I prefer the "old school" of shooters.

Bioshock 1 is probably my favorite game from the series you listed. I don't want to vote for it because I didn't like Bioshock 2.

I hate to side with Heewee. But, I'm quite fond of Doom/Quake minus Quake 4. Bioshock would be next followed by Thief.
